When Art and Love Merge to Create Pieces That Evoke Divinity

When we think of love, we think of everything that, through an invisible thread, unites us: our desires, our dreams, our tastes, and our passions. Everything that makes us feel alive and truly motivates us to keep going to give, to inspire, and to motivate others—that is love. In this spirit, Rolla Summers presents the remarkable collection Birds of Love, an ethereal proposal that invites us to reflect on where creation should be directed in order to convey that passion, that gift, that artistry. Love becomes the force that unites us, while birds symbolize expanding freedom the freedom to be and to reach beyond.

In this collection, Rolla highlights the importance of classic silhouettes combined with a sense of the divine, designing a style that goes beyond clothing and becomes pieces worthy of celebration and admiration.

Understanding the concept, Birds of Love is a commitment to creativity expressed through exceptionally delicate tones, embodying a design proposal that leans toward artistic haute couture. When viewed with a discerning eye, this collection evokes the divine. It evokes the need to transcend—to go beyond toward what is essential and inspiring. And thus, like the symbolism of birds, it represents the connection between the earthly and the sublime that so often inspires creativity.

Beyond any conceptualization, for me this collection represents freedom—the freedom that haute couture offers to express oneself, to be, and to do. The freedom to design and dream, to create and conceptualize, the freedom to stand at the forefront, and above all, the freedom to contribute to this industry.

The industry demands risk and is not always understood. But like all art, it requires deeper reflection to grasp the why—what it reveals, what it implies, and its conceptualization. Perhaps understanding a collection like this requires seeing beyond the extravagance, but it is undeniable that the drama it created was a significant moment at Paris Fashion Week.

Editor’s Thoughts

Divinity will always be a source of inspiration that challenges our understanding and allows us to glimpse different points of view, perspectives, and interpretations. As a driving force, it propels our being toward our own—and sometimes imposed—challenges. Divinity, as an immaculate force, refines, polishes, and transforms. Understanding how to harness it to create art is complex and requires a high level of practice, and for that, we have Rolla Summers.

Well done.
