His story began in 2005, when a high school workshop ignited what would become a lifelong devotion to journalism. By the time he graduated from the University of the Sacred Heart with a degree in journalism and a minor in advertising, Negrón had already found his voice. His first role as a radio announcer at Cumbre 1470 AM in Orocovis was more than a job—it was a training ground for a voice destined to carry across continents.
Breaking Borders, Shaping Narratives
By 2008, Negrón had moved beyond local airwaves, joining Spanish Television News (STN). Under the mentorship of Rubén Román and Elizabeth Rivera, he mastered the craft of storytelling, covering seismic events like the Haiti earthquake and the Vatican beatification of Pope John Paul II. His instinct for impactful news propelled him to Radio Isla 1320 AM, and soon after, to Telemundo Puerto Rico. Each step sharpened his instinct for stories that matter.
A Meteoric Rise in U.S. Media
In 2013, Negrón crossed new borders, joining Telemundo Houston (KTMD) as a producer. His precision and editorial eye quickly caught attention. By 2016, he was at the helm of the coveted 11 p.m. newscast at Telemundo 52 Los Angeles—the network’s flagship station. Four years later, he assumed leadership at Noticias Univision 34 Los Angeles, the most-watched Spanish-language station in the nation, where he now serves as Executive Producer. In this role, he directs not only newscasts but the very heartbeat of community-driven storytelling—balancing breaking news with cultural relevance and social impact.
